BIO:
Aleksandar Jankulovski - Cane was born in 1936 in Prilep, Macedonia.
He graduated from the School of Applied Arts, Pedagogical Academy and Faculty of Fine Arts - Department of Painting, in Skopje.
Jankulovski is one of the founders of the Macedonian contemporary art, the most prolific and most famous Macedonian informalist, who for the first time in Macedonia in the 60s at the age of 20 began to paint with non-painting materials such as sand, sawdust, wood and bronze.
This Macedonian artist also works on the wall, that monumental and equally easel-miniature painting, sculptures, his most famous work is the necropolis in Sveti Nikole.
He is the first artist who brought abstract art and informel in Macedonia.
Jankuloski has exhibited throughout the former Yugoslavia, and his works are all over the continents, from San Paolo to Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Turkey and other countries.
He is the founder of many other colonies in Macedonia and abroad, and at the expense of the creator he has won numerous awards and recognitions.
