Boro Mitrikeski (10.05.1927-24.11.2018)
Academic Boro Mitrikeski was born on May 10, 1927 in Prilep, Macedonia. He graduated from the Art School in Skopje in 1948/49, where he received his first knowledge of sculpture from prof. Dimo Todorovski. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1954, in the class of the sculptor Vanja Radush.
After graduating, he worked for a while as an art pedagogue at the elementary school "Dame Gruev" in Skopje, and then during the 60s of last century he was a professor at the High School of Art in Skopje. From 1979 to 1987 he was the director of the Art Gallery "Skopje" (NI National Gallery of Macedonia), to where he retired. Since 1997 he is a full member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
During his professional career he has been on study trips to: France, England, Greece, Russia, Egypt, Spain, Germany, Austria, USA, Canada, Poland, Sweden.
Boro Mitrikeski has realized about 17 solo exhibitions in Skopje, Prilep, Probishtip, Zagreb, Belgrade, Vienna, etc., and has participated in numerous exhibitions in the country and abroad, and also exhibited at exhibitions with members of DLUM and the group MUGRI.
Boro Mitrikeski have a prominent place in the Macedonian fine arts as a member of the so-called middle generation of Macedonian painters and sculptors, a generation that brought radical changes in plastic work, bringing it closer to the most important currents of contemporary European and American sculpture, he created portraits, chamber lyrical forms, reliefs, monumental sculptures that represent value and composition of Macedonian sculpture in the past six decades.
He has built 10 monuments and a number of memorials:

2003 - Portrait of Aco Shopov, for the Struga Poetry Evenings, bronze; 2003- Portrait of Lazar Lichenoski, wood; 2003- Free forms, sculptures within the project of MANU, 2 in wood, 2 in bronze, 2 in marble
2004 - Portrait of Aco Shopov, gift of the House of Culture in Shtip, plaster; 2004- Portrait of Blaze Koneski, a gift from the House of Culture in Prilep, plaster
2005 - Monument to Gjorgji Kratovski, Kratovo, bronze; 2005- Alexander the Great with his retinue, plaster; 2005- Alexander the Great on horseback, plaster
2006 - Serdar and miniatures, about 30 exhibits in wood, bronze and marble; 2006- The fight with the Gegs, wood, relief, placed in the ceremonial hall of the Assembly of Macedonia
2007 - Bust of Petre M. Andreevski, in NUB "St. Kliment Ohridski ”, Skopje; 2007- Monument to Krste Petkov Misirkov, bronze, Pella Square, Skopje
