
Kole Manev
Macedonia , b. 1941
BIO:
Born in 1941 in Bapchor, Aegean Macedonia.
1956- He went to High School of Arts in Skopje,
1960 – He went to the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade
1967 - Moves to Paris where he stays and lives for 15 years.
1974- Member of the Association of Fine Artists of Macedonia (DLUM)
1980-Returns to Skopje, where he lives and works as a freelance artist.
He has won numerous national and international awards and recognitions for painting and film, including the award in 2006 from the French Ministry of Culture, which awards him the "Honorary Knight of Art and Creativity".
He was on a study visit to Paris and attended animated film lectures in Prague
He is an eminent Macedonian painter and filmmaker in the field of documentary. He has also worked as a director of animated and documentary films, and has written several screenplays.
He has realized about thirty exhibitions and is a participant in numerous group exhibitions in Macedonia, France and the countries in the region. He lives and works in Skopje and Lazaropole.
