Simeon Nichev

BIO:
Simeon Nichev was born in 1942 in Ohrid, Macedonia.
He graduated from the Academy of Monumental Painting in Belgrade in 1967, where he completed his postgraduate studies. From 1962 to 1992 he lived and worked in Belgrade and Sarajevo. He has lived and worked in Skopje since 1992. He has been a freelance artist since 1978. He has received over 40 awards and recognitions for his work so far. Besides painting, he also deals with fine and applied graphics. Simeon Nichev is an author who achieves a specific attitude towards light in painting, towards the phenomenon of white painting and the spiritual in art. He belongs to the group of authors with classical inspiration and sensibility for the southern Mediterranean region.
