Teofil Shulajkovski-Tofe (1934-2009)
Teofil Shulajkovski-Tofe was born in 1934 in Debar, Macedonia.
He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Skopje, graduated from the Pedagogical Academy, and the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje. He has been a member of DLUM since 1966. He realized his first solo exhibition in 1957, in his hometown of Debar. He exhibited his works in almost all cities of Macedonia, in the cities in the former Yugoslav state of SFRY (Belgrade, Zagreb, Novi Sad, Vranje, Paracin, Kragujevac, Zemun, Titograd) and in cities outside the Yugoslav territories, such as Offenbach, Frankfurt. Nuremberg, Dusseldorf (Germany), Amsterdam and Rotterdam (Netherlands), Malmo (Sweden), Castrovillari, Rende in Italy. He realized sixty solo and participated in more than eighty group domestic and international exhibitions.
Winner of the awards:
1979 - "November 13" Award given by the City of Skopje for painting.
1984 - "Dimitar Pandilov" - award given by DLUM for painting - small format.
1984 - "Lazar Lichenoski" - award given by DLUM for painting.
1985 - Award of the Art Gallery - Skopje
1985 - Medal of the city of Castrovillari (Italy)
1986 - Plaque of the city of Castrovillari (Italy)
1986 - Special award from the Assembly of the City of Skopje at the First Biennial of Macedonian Watercolor.
1987 - "LIKUM" - painting award given by the Copyright Agency of Macedonia.
1996 - "Vangel Kodzoman" for the most successful exhibition.
His works are part of the collections of private collectors, social organizations, galleries in many cities in Macedonia, the former Yugoslav republics, but also in England, Austria, Germany, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Poland, France, China, USA, Australia, South Korea, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Turkey.
